Minister Bob Clarke

We are very sad to announce the passing of STF’s longtime chairman, Minister Bob Clarke. Bob was admitted to hospital on 24th October and made his transition the following day.

He had been diagnosed with cancer several years earlier and underwent a series of operations and treatments, but never allowed his health problems to stop him contributing to organisations he was connected with. Prime among these were Hitchin Spiritualist Church, of which he was a president for 26 years, and the local Rotary Club, of which he was chairman.

Throughout it all he was supported by his beloved wife of 37 years, Stella. His dearly-loved dog Scamp was constantly at his side, and the pair were familiar visitors to the local high street, where, Bob told me, Scamp was so popular that he was given his very own snacks in the coffee shop!

Our thoughts of love, healing and comfort go out to Stella, Scamp and Bob’s many friends at this sad time.

Bob’s funeral will take place at 11.45am on Wednesday 22nd November at Harwood Park Crematorium, Stevenage, SG2 8XT.
