Asked by a sitter if ‘psychic’ and ‘spiritual’ were the same, Silver Birch replied: “Almost the same, but not quite. You can have all the psychic faculties, but they do not become spiritual faculties until they are used for a spiritual purpose in association with spiritual people in our world. You are naturally psychic, as well as physical, and you all have the faculties of the psychic body, but it is not until these faculties are developed and blended with the power of the spirit that they become spiritual gifts.
